WHY Youth FITNESS IS IMPORTANT

​Sadly, a record number of children (ages 2-11) and adolescents (ages 12-19) in the U.S. are Overweight or Obese. In fact, 37% (almost 2 in 5) of children today are OBESE (in the 1970's, this statistic was 1 in 20 kids). This data is absolutely devastating. ​

Why Are So Many Young Individuals Overweight/Obese? ​

Hiring a Fitness Professional to work with your youth enables them the to receive customized and generalized workouts designed to encourage a healthy lifestyle, address common health concerns, behavioral issues and physical needs, and meet various fitness and performance goals, all while building a community and population of healthy youth.

With a Fitness Professional on their team, they'll learn how to improve health by exercising safely and effectively, making healthier lifestyle choices, creating healthy habits, building more nutritious and properly portioned meals, staying hydrated, getting better sleep, maintaining a positive mindset, and caring for their mental wellness. Having access to a fitness professional also provides your youth and family with access to valuable knowledge and education, helpful resources, support and encouragement, exercise variety and effectiveness, as well as workout safety and challenges.

 

Working one-on-one with a fitness professional is beneficial and sometimes necessary, but exercising in a group setting can enhance enjoyment, boost motivation, elevate energy, increase accountability, and inspire competitive challenges. This is why I strongly encourage youth to join my fitness classes! 

 

My comprehensive workout programs incorporate scientifically-proven methods that can optimize results for various goals, including: Posture Correction, Flexibility & Mobility, Balance & Stability, Cardio Endurance, Strength, Weight (Fat) Loss, Muscle Building, and Sports Performance. My coaching approach is to ensure youth have an enjoyable experience every time they exercise by using a variety of functional, integrated fitness components with various exercise modalities and formats to keep their bodies challenged and mind engaged. I guide youth through each training session or class with enthusiasm and constructive encouragement, and motivate them to safely push themselves beyond what they think they are capable of doing for new wins in personal accomplishments. This helps their bodies adapt and evolve while their minds build resilience, perseverance, and self-confidence.

My goal is to deliver effective solutions that provide rewarding results which encourage the youth to sustain healthy behaviors for the rest of their lives.
